1. Policy Statement

We are committed to:

Complying with all relevant WHS legislation and Australian Standards

Providing a safe workplace free from recognized hazards

Implementing effective risk management systems

Providing appropriate training, information, and supervision

Continuously improving our safety performance

2. Responsibilities

Management Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and resources for WHS initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements
  • Review and approve WHS documentation and procedures
  • Set safety objectives and allocate resources to achieve them
  • Monitor WHS performance and conduct regular audits

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily pre-start meetings and toolbox talks
  • Ensure work areas are safe and hazards are controlled
  • Monitor compliance with safe work procedures and PPE use
  • Report and investigate incidents promptly
  • Stop work if unsafe conditions are identified

Worker Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety procedures and work instructions
  • Use provided PPE and safety equipment correctly
  • Report hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately
  • Participate in safety training and meetings
  • Look out for the safety of themselves and others

3. Risk Management

We follow a systematic approach to managing workplace hazards:

4. Key Safety Procedures

Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)

Documented for all high-risk construction work. Reviewed before projects start and accessible on site.

Lift Studies & Bracing Plans

Engineer-endorsed lift plans for all panel installations, including crane specifications, rigging requirements, and exclusion zones.

Pre-Start Meetings

Daily briefings covering work plan, hazards, weather, and emergency procedures. Attendance recorded.

Site Inductions

Comprehensive induction for all personnel before site access, covering site-specific hazards and emergency procedures.

5. Incident Management

All incidents, injuries, near-misses, and hazards must be reported immediately. We investigate to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.

6. Training and Competency

All workers must hold relevant qualifications and licenses:

  • Construction Induction (White Card)
  • High-Risk Work Licenses where required
  • First Aid Officers (minimum one per site/shift)
  • Regular refresher training and toolbox talks

7. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Required PPE requirements at all times:

Hard hat
Safety vest
Safety glasses
Gloves (when appropriate)
Hi-vis clothing
Hearing protection (when required)

8. Consultation and Communication

We actively consult with workers on WHS matters through regular meetings, toolbox talks, safety committees, and open-door communication channels. We encourage workers to raise safety concerns without fear of reprisal.

9. Continuous Improvement

We regularly review and update our WHS systems through audits, inspections, incident investigations and worker feedback. Safety performance is measured and reported to management.
